Job summary

TeacherActive is partnering with a mainstream primary school in Monmouth to recruit a part-time Teaching Assistant. You will support children with additional learning needs (ALN) in the classroom, help sustain engagement and adapt activities to individual learning goals.

The role starts ASAP; the successful candidate will bring experience with ALN, patient and nurturing approach, and strong teamwork. In return, you’ll join a dedicated team with ongoing CPD and competitive pay via PAYE.

The school is looking to take on a Teaching Assistant on a part-time basis, starting ASAP. The successful Teaching Assistant will work with children with additional learning needs / ALN, providing appropriate classroom support and helping pupils to engage with their learning and development.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience working with children in an educational or similar setting
• Experience supporting children with ALN
• An understanding of how to adapt support to individual needs
• A patient and nurturing approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A positive and proactive attitude
