Job summary

Academics are recruiting ALN Teaching Assistants for primary schools across Bridgend and surrounding areas. Roles include 1:1 and small-group support, helping pupils access curriculum and activities, and working with the wider support team to foster confidence and regulation.

Experience with ALN/SEN and previous TA roles are desirable. Enhanced DBS and EWC registration are essential; right to work in the UK and safeguarding checks are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group ALN support to pupils
• Help pupils access curriculum and classroom activities
• Collaborate with class teachers and support teams
• Support development of confidence, independence, and communication
• Assist with positive behaviour and emotional regulation
• Deliver targeted interventions when needed
• Adapt activities to individual learning needs
• Support social and educational development of pupils
