Job summary

Aspire People are recruiting ALN Teaching Assistants and Learning Support Assistants to work across Further Education colleges and Post-16 provisions throughout South Wales.

You will support learners to access their education, develop independence and build confidence, working alongside lecturers and wider support teams across academic, vocational and practical programmes. Immediate starts available and flexible opportunities across South Wales.

Qualifications

• Experience in education, youth work, care or support roles is desirable.
• FE, college, Post-16 or school experience is desirable.
• EWC registration, or willingness to obtain, is required.

Responsibilities

• Support learners with ALN, SEN, SEMH and complex needs on a 1:1 and small-group basis.
• Collaborate with lecturers to help learners access academic, vocational and practical courses.
• Help learners develop confidence, independence and essential life skills.
• Apply positive behaviour support and de-escalation strategies.
• Build professional relationships with learners.
• Adapt approach to meet individual learning and support needs.
