Job summary

Hawk Hiring LTD in Coventry is seeking a practical Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic to join a tight-knit workshop. You will perform routine servicing, safety checks, pre-MOT inspections, and essential mechanical maintenance across many customer vehicles to high trade standards.

The role requires NVQ/IMI Level 3, time-served experience, and a valid UK driving licence with your own hand tools. A DVSA MOT Tester card is preferred but not essential; on-site parking is provided.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 / IMI Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent time-served background).
• Time-served mechanic with solid practical experience across all vehicle makes and models.
• DVSA MOT Tester Smart Card is preferred (offering higher starting pay potential), but not essential.
• Full UK driving licence & own hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing, safety evaluations, pre-MOT checks, and core mechanical maintenance across a wide variety of customer vehicles to high trade standards.

Pay & Benefits

• Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 basic per annum (DOE) + team bonus incentive
• Hours: Monday to Friday schedule + Saturdays operated on a fair team rota basis
