Job summary

Hawk Hiring LTD in Birmingham is seeking a practical Vehicle Technician / Workshop Mechanic to join our technical team. You will perform routine servicing, safety checks, pre-MOT health checks and general maintenance across a range of customer vehicles to high trade standards.

The ideal candidate will hold NVQ/IMI Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, be time-served with hands-on experience across makes and models, and have a full UK driving licence with your own hand tools.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 / IMI Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent time-served garage background).
• Time-served mechanic with practical experience across a diverse mix of vehicle makes and models.
• DVSA MOT Tester Smart Card is preferred but not essential.
• Full UK driving licence & own hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and safety evaluations.
• Pre-MOT health checks and general mechanical maintenance across customer vehicles.
• Multi-brand diagnostic troubleshooting and routine servicing.

Pay & Benefits

• Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 basic per annum (DOE) + team performance incentive
• Hours: Monday to Friday schedule + Saturdays operated on a fair team rota basis
