Job summary

Hawk Hiring LTD in Birmingham is seeking a qualified NVQ Level 3 Vehicle Technician / Workshop Mechanic to join our technical team. You will perform servicing, safety evaluations, pre-MOT checks, and core maintenance across a range of vehicles to high trade standards. Requirements: NVQ/IMI Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent), full UK driving licence and own hand tools.

MOT Tester card is a plus. Hours: Mon–Fri, on-site parking; salary £35,000–£45,000 DOE.

Qualifications

• NVQ/IMI Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent time-served background.
• Solid practical experience across multiple vehicle makes/models.
• DVSA MOT Tester Smart Card preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled servicing and safety evaluations.
• Carry out pre-MOT health checks and core mechanical maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair vehicle systems to high trade standards.

Pay & Benefits

• Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 basic per annum (DOE) + team performance incentive
• Hours: Monday to Friday schedule (08:30 – 17:00) | No weekend shifts required

Role Overview

Seeking a qualified NVQ Level 3 Vehicle Technician / Workshop Mechanic to join our technical team in Birmingham. You will be responsible for executing scheduled servicing, safety evaluations, pre-MOT health checks, and core mechanical maintenance across a wide variety of customer and stock vehicles to high trade standards.

Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 / IMI Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent time-served garage background).
• Solid practical experience across a diverse mix of vehicle makes and models.
• Active DVSA MOT Tester Smart Card is preferred (offering higher starting pay potential), but not essential.
• Full UK driving licence & own hand tools.
