Job summary

WHSmith is seeking a Team Leader to guide a store team and deliver outstanding customer service, hitting business objectives and developing colleagues. You will lead from the floor, drive training, and help colleagues reach their full potential across shifts and tasks.

You’ll build strong relationships with customers and partners while ensuring safe and compliant store operations, contributing to an engaging, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Current/recent retail leadership experience, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lead from the front, get involved on the shop floor.
• Flexibility to support other stores in the area when needed.
• Ability to build strong relationships and communicate clearly and effectively.
• Experience in supporting employee training and development, and motivating teams.

Responsibilities

• Guiding and engaging your team to deliver excellent standards and results in line with the Trading plan.
• Creating a culture of learning, support and recognition - spotting opportunities for development of personal skills, product knowledge and self-awareness.
