Job summary

John Menzies is seeking a ground handling operative in Crawley to support airside operations, baggage handling and vehicle driving duties. You will follow safety procedures and work under tight timelines to help ensure smooth departures and arrivals.

The role requires a valid driving licence, the ability to work at height where needed, and strong customer service skills. Training is provided to meet company and safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• On-load and off-load baggage manually or mechanically according to training.

• Undertake baggage sortation duties in a safe, efficient manner.
• Perform de-icing duties as required by season.
• Airside driving duties as part of daily tasks.

Role Purpose

Deliver high performance standards around all aspects of airside ground handling and de-icing and, meeting the requirements of our customers and maintaining health and safety and overall good working practices in accordance with company policies and procedures at all times.

What you will be doing

• On-load and off-load baggage manually or mechanically, in accordance with the relevant training received.
• Gather, input and process all data and documentation necessary for the fulfilment of the success of the operation, by manual, automated or computerised systems, including weather reporting.
• Undertake all relevant baggage sortation duties in a safe and efficient manner.
• Full De-icing duties as per seasonal requirements.
• Airside Driving.
