Job summary

John Menzies is seeking a BOH Supervisor & Duty Manager to lead ramp and baggage handling operations at our UK site. You will ensure high performance standards, safety, and compliance with company policies and procedures at all times.

The role reports to the Team Leader and involves coordinating flights, equipment checks, towing, pushback, and winter de-icing duties while maintaining health and safety across all processes.

Qualifications

• A full 5 year work/unemployment/education history.
• Valid Passport
• Proof of National Insurance
• Proof of address
• Full and valid UK Driving Licence
• Criminal Record Check and Airside Security Clearance

Responsibilities

• Undertake all relevant baggage sortation duties in a safe and efficient manner, setting up flights, using BRS & Brock scanner where required.
• Carry out area hazard checks.
• Carry out aircraft inspections.
• Carry out equipment inspections, pre-trip, daily & weekly.
• Report any faults or irregularities with equipment, facilities or processes to the appropriate Management.
• Carry out Towing, Pushback & Head-set duties, including communication with the flight deck, in accordance with the relevant training received.
• Operate position and remove all relevant company GSE required for our customer airlines, in a safe and efficient manner, in accordance with the relevant training received.
• During winter operation provide de-icing to customer airlines in accordance with the relevant training received.
