Job summary

UPS Supply Chain Solutions, Inc. is seeking an Export Airfreight Clerk to manage airfreight export shipments from booking to final departure and delivery. You will coordinate with customers, airlines, overseas agents and internal teams to ensure accurate processing and on-time delivery.

The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple shipments, with a focus on compliance and high-quality customer service.

Qualifications

• Experience in freight forwarding or export/logistics.
• Understanding of airfreight export procedures.
• Ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Knowledge of Incoterms and customs procedures desirable.
• Proficient in MS Office and freight systems.
• Ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Manage airfreight export shipments from booking through to completion.
• Receive and process customer shipping instructions.
• Book shipments with airlines and handling agents.
• Arrange collections and transportation to airports and facilities.
• Prepare and process export documentation accurately and within deadlines.
• Complete and submit customs export declarations where required.
• Ensure shipments comply with customs, aviation security and DG requirements.
• Prepare Air Waybills and other shipping documentation.
• Liaise with airlines regarding bookings, schedules, space, status.
• Monitor shipments and provide customers with updates.
• Identify and resolve operational issues, delays or discrepancies.
• Develop relationships with customers, suppliers, airlines and overseas partners.
