Air Operations Specialist Aerospace - Nights

Our well-known client based in Hayes is looking for an Exports Operations Specialist with AOG Night shifts from 7pm to 7am, offering £31K-£33K base salary plus shift pay (approximately £4K per annum).

Key Activities:

1. Export of Aerospace-related shipments including AOGs, Engines, & licensed goods.
2. Booking optimal Air Freight options to ensure prompt delivery worldwide.
3. Collaborating with Transport departments for timely and cost-effective collection.
4. Ensuring adherence to Customs Compliance procedures and documentation.
5. Managing and building customer relationships.
6. Completing retrospective Customs compliance actions.
7. Processing Customs entries for Specialist License movements.
8. Accurately completing Job Files with all relevant commercial information.
9. Liaising with Carriers and Handling Agents to resolve exceptions.
10. Coordinating shipment planning with other departments, transport, warehouse teams, and overseas offices.
11. Maintaining compliance and updating milestones and remarks in Cargowise system.

Skills and Experience:

• At least 2 years of experience within the Freight Forwarding Industry.
• 5 GCSEs including Maths and English at Grade C or above, or equivalent.
• Experience with HMRC procedures for Export.
• Commercial awareness and clear communication skills (both written and spoken).
• Ability to follow processes and support continuous improvement.
• Strong interpersonal skills including influencing, relationship management, and cultural awareness.
• Knowledge of Freight Forwarding industry processes: exports and related activities.
• Experience with Aerospace/AOG movements is preferred but not essential.
