Job summary

Penguin Recruitment is seeking an experienced Air Conditioning Engineer to join a well-established contractor. Based around Liverpool/Manchester, with occasional travel to Yorkshire, the role focuses on servicing, maintaining and repairing a range of commercial HVAC systems.

You will work on split, VRV/VRF and chillers, perform diagnostics, and ensure compliance with industry regulations. A company vehicle is provided and there is clear progression in a stable, long-term role.

Qualifications

• F-Gas qualified
• Full UK driving licence
• NVQ / City & Guilds in Air Conditioning (beneficial)
• Minimum 5 years' industry experience
• Strong knowledge of VRV/VRF and split systems
• Experience with chillers (desirable)
• Knowledge of heat pumps, FCUs, and AHUs (advantageous)

Responsibilities

• Service, maintenance, and repair of air conditioning systems including split units, VRV and VRF systems
• Carrying out fault-finding and complex diagnostic work
• Working on some chiller systems
• Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with industry regulations
• Supporting junior engineers where required

Salary: £46,000 per annum + Company Vehicle + travel time/overtime + Career Progression

Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced Air Conditioning Engineer to join a well-established and growing specialist contractor. This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable business offering a strong package, consistent commercial work, and a clear long-term career path.

Role & Responsibilities

As an Air Conditioning Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of air conditioning systems across commercial environments. The role will have a strong focus on complex diagnostics and fault-finding.

• Service, maintenance, and repair of air conditioning systems including split units, VRV and VRF systems


• Carrying out fault-finding and complex diagnostic work


• Working on some chiller systems


• Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with industry regulations


• Supporting junior engineers where required

The role is primarily based in and around Liverpool/Manchester area with some (paid) travel to Yorkshire on occasions.
