Job summary

Penguin Recruitment is seeking a Senior Air Conditioning Engineer to join our team in London & M25 region. You will service, maintain and repair a wide range of commercial AC systems with a strong focus on diagnostics and complex fault-finding.

The role is based around the M25 with work in education, healthcare and hotel sectors. Salary is £58,000 per annum plus a company vehicle, overtime and clear career progression within a stable, growing contractor.

Qualifications

• F-Gas qualification is required.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• NVQ/City & Guilds in Air Conditioning (beneficial).
• Minimum 5 years' industry experience.
• Strong knowledge of VRV/VRF and split systems.
• Experience with chillers is desirable.
• Knowledge of heat pumps, FCUs and AHUs advantageous.
• Based within or near the M25 area.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair air conditioning systems across commercial environments.
• Perform fault-finding and diagnostics on complex systems.
• Work on chiller systems where required.
• Ensure all work complies with industry regulations.
• Support junior engineers where required.

Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Air Conditioning Engineer to join a well-established and growing specialist contractor. This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable business offering a strong package, consistent commercial work, and a clear long-term career path.

Role & Responsibilities

As a Senior Air Conditioning Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of air conditioning systems across commercial environments. The role will have a strong focus on complex diagnostics and fault-finding.

Key duties include:

• Service, maintenance, and repair of air conditioning systems including split units, VRV and VRF systems
• Carrying out fault-finding and complex diagnostic work
• Working on some chiller systems
• Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with industry regulations
• Supporting junior engineers where required

The role is primarily based in and around the M25, with approximately 90% of work within the education, healthcare, and hotel sectors.
