Job summary

Project Start Recruitment Solutions is hiring an Air Conditioning Engineer in Liverpool. The role covers servicing, maintenance, fault-finding and installation of commercial air conditioning across customer sites, including PPM and reactive calls.

It requires F‑Gas Cat 1, NVQ/City & Guilds qualifications, and a full UK driving licence. Benefits include a company vehicle, 33 days holiday, overtime pay and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• F‑Gas (2079) Cat 1 qualification is required.
• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration or time served.
• City & Guilds Level 2 (or equivalent) certification.
• Full UK driving licence and DBS check clear.

Responsibilities

• Fault finding and repairing air conditioning equipment.
• Carry out reactive maintenance, servicing, PPM and installations.
• Work on split systems, and VRV/VRF systems.
• Participate in a 1-in-4 call-out rota.
• Advise customers on repair or replacement of equipment.
• Provide information for quotations including parts, labour and equipment.
• Meet targets for Health & Safety, quality, compliance and profitability.
• Act as a technical expert within the regional team.

About the Role

Responsible for servicing, maintaining, repairing, fault-finding and installing commercial air conditioning systems across customer sites. Includes planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive call‑outs in the Liverpool area.

What We’re Looking For

• Full UK driving licence
