Job summary

Infinity Resource Solutions seeks an experienced Air Conditioning Engineer based in Newcastle to service, maintain and repair VRFs, split systems and refrigeration plants across the North East. The role includes fault-finding, project work from installation to commissioning, and advising clients on-site.

Applicants should have a C&G Level 2 Fgas and ODS Cat 1 qualification, a full UK driving licence, and at least six years post-qualification experience.

Qualifications

• C&G Level 2 Fgas and ODS Cat 1 qualification required.
• Full UK driving licence essential.
• 6+ years post-qualification experience in air conditioning service, breakdown and repair.
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
• Good organisational skills and ability to drive tasks to completion.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Experience in high-end residential properties preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, fault-find/diagnose and repair VRFs, split system air conditioning and refrigeration plant.
• Occasionally handle installation, testing and commissioning within project programmes.
• Manage distribution and storage of materials on site; report defects/shortfalls.
• Provide technical on-site advice to clients when required.

Air Conditioning Engineer

Are you an experienced air conditioning service and repair engineer, who would like the opportunity to progress and develop your skills further within a rapidly growing business?

My client are a long-established company based in Newcastle specialising in the Installation, Service and Maintenance of a wide variety of air conditioning equipment.

My client is actively seeking a reliable, knowledgeable engineer to join their team and assist with our continued growth.

Responsibilities

• You will carry out maintenance including fault finding/ diagnosis and repairs on equipment including VRF’s, split type air conditioning and refrigeration plant.
• Occasionally, you will carry out other aspects of air conditioning works on projects from installation to test and commissioning within agreed programmes.
• You will be responsible of the distribution and safe keeping of materials on site. Ensuring that any defects/shortfalls are notified.
• You will be required to provide technical advice occasionally to clients on site.

Requirements (Essential)

• The candidate must be C&G Level 2 Fgas and ODS Regulations: Cat 1 qualified.
• A full UK valid driving license is essential.
• The candidate must be an experienced air conditioning service, breakdown and repair engineer with a minimum of 6 years’ post qualification.
• Must have strong fault-finding skills.
• You must have good organisation skills to ensure deadlines are met, and be able to demonstrate self-motivation and initiative to get to the heart of a problem to take it through to completion.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• We primarily work in high-end residential properties, therefore tidiness and attention to detail are essential.

Requirements (Desirable)

• It is desirable for the candidate to have IPAF/PASMA however this is not essential as the correct training can be offered by the company to obtain these.
• BMS systems knowledge is an advantage
• It is essential for the candidate to have City and Guilds Level 2 Refrigeration & Air Conditioning or equivalent.
