Job summary

ECG Facilities Services, a leading UK M&E maintenance provider, seeks an Air Conditioning Engineer with 5+ years' experience. You will travel across the UK in a mobile team, carrying out design, installation, service and maintenance of commercial refrigeration and air conditioning systems including VRV/VRF units and AHUs.

You may assist with electrical PPM tasks and safety paperwork. City & Guilds Refrigeration/AC qualifications (Level 2/3), F-Gas certification and 18th Edition are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in M&E and air conditioning.

Responsibilities

• Design, installation, service and maintenance of commercial refrigeration and air conditioning systems including VRV/VRF and AHU equipment.
• Maintenance, repairs and on-site mechanical & plumbing support as required.
• Work as part of a mobile team, with a client-focused approach.
• Maintain on-site log books and complete compliance paperwork using CAFM systems.

• Design & installation, after care service and maintenance of commercial refrigeration and air conditioning systems carrying out the service and maintenance of a multitude of equipment ranging from commercial equipment including cold rooms, ice machines, VRV & VRF Indoor and Outdoor Units, Heat Recovery Units, leak testing systems etc.
• Maintenance, repairs and all general Air Conditioning duties, including being able to assist with mechanical & plumbing works if required on site.
• Experience in Air Source Heat Pumps would be desirable and additional training on this can be provided.
• Health and safety awareness.
• Candidate who can assist with electrical PPM tasks including emergency lighting tests and small repairs would be desirable.
• Knowledge and experience of all air conditioning and electrical plant including, but not limited to Air Handling Units and their associated controls, pumps, heat exchangers, boiler plant (excluding gas side pipe work and accessories)
• Knowledge and experience of BMS control systems.
• Knowledge and experience of all air conditioning and HVAC installations, including issuing written compliance paperwork.
• To maintain on site log books, permits & site paperwork insuring they are completed and up to date.
• Must be competent in working on CAFM system and using tablet for logging on to jobs and completing compliance paperwork.
• The Air Conditioning engineer will be working as part of a mobile team, our client is looking for someone who is flexible, works well as part of a team and is client focussed

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years relevant experience.
• City & Guilds Level 2 (minimum) City & Guilds Level 3 in Refrigeration/Air Conditioning (preferred) F-Gas Certificate (C&G 2079 or CITB J11)
• 18th Edition Accreditation is an also preferred for this candidate.
