Job summary

ECG Facilities Services is seeking an Air Conditioning Maintenance Engineer for a mobile role in the Dundee area. Location: Dundee area (mobile role)

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Design, installation, aftercare service and maintenance of commercial refrigeration and air conditioning systems, and service and maintenance of a wide range of equipment including cold rooms, ice machines, VRV & VRF indoor and outdoor units, heat recovery units, leak testing systems, etc.
• Maintenance, repairs and all general air conditioning duties, including assisting with mechanical & plumbing works if required on site.
• Experience in air source heat pumps desirable; additional training can be provided.
• Health and safety awareness.
• Assist with electrical PPM tasks including emergency lighting tests and small repairs desirable.

Skills & Qualifications Required

Knowledge & Understanding

• Knowledge and experience of all air conditioning and electrical plant, including but not limited to Air Handling Units, controls, pumps, heat exchangers, boiler plant (excluding gas side pipework and accessories).
• Knowledge and experience of BMS control systems.
• Knowledge and experience of all air conditioning and HVAC installations, including issuing written compliance paperwork.
• Maintain on‑site log books, permits & site paperwork, ensuring they are completed and up to date.
• Competent working on CAFM system and using tablet for logging jobs and completing compliance paperwork.
• Work as part of a mobile team; flexible, team‑oriented, and client‑focused.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience.
• City & Guilds Level 2 (minimum); City & Guilds Level 3 in Refrigeration/Air Conditioning (preferred); F‑Gas Certificate (C&G 2079 or CITB J11).
• 18th Edition Accreditation preferred.
