Job summary

ECG Facilities Services in Glasgow is seeking an experienced Air Conditioning Engineer to maintain and service commercial HVAC and electrical plant across client sites. The role is part of a mobile team, requiring flexibility and a client-focused approach.

You will work on air handling units, BMS controls, and HVAC installations, keeping on-site log books and permits up to date. The role includes site-based repairs, basic electrical PPM tasks, and some water hygiene responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years relevant experience in air conditioning and electrical plant.
• Experience with Air Handling Units and controls.
• Knowledge of BMS and HVAC installations.
• Ability to maintain log books, permits and site paperwork.
• On-site mobility with a client-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and service commercial HVAC and electrical systems.

Location: Glasgow

Hours: 40 hours per week

Design & installation, after care service and maintenance of commercial refrigeration and air conditioning systems carrying out the service and maintenance of a multitude of equipment ranging from commercial equipment including cold rooms, ice machines, VRV & VRF Indoor and Outdoor Units, Heat Recovery Units, leak testing systems etc.

Maintenance, repairs and all general Air Conditioning duties, including being able to assist with mechanical & plumbing works if required on site.

Experience in Air Source Heat Pumps would be desirable and additional training on this can be provided.

Health and safety awareness.

Candidate who can assist with electrical PPM tasks including emergency lighting tests and small repairs would be desirable.

Skills & Qualifications Required

Knowledge and experience of all air conditioning and electrical plant including, but not limited to Air Handling Units and their associated controls, pumps, heat exchangers, boiler plant (excluding gas side pipe work and accessories)

Knowledge and experience of BMS control systems.

Knowledge and experience of all air conditioning and HVAC installations, including issuing written compliance paperwork.

To maintain on site log books, permits & site paperwork insuring they are completed and up to date.

Must be competent in working on CAFM system and using tablet for logging on to jobs and completing compliance paperwork.

The Air Conditioning engineer will be working as part of a mobile team, our client is looking for someone who is flexible, works well as part of a team and is client focussed.

Qualifications

A minimum of 5 years relevant experience.

City & Guilds Level 2 (minimum) City & Guilds Level 3 in Refrigeration/Air Conditioning (preferred) F-Gas Certificate (C&G 2079 or CITB J11)

18th Edition Accreditation is an also preferred for this candidate.
