Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions Ltd is seeking an experienced Air Conditioning Engineer to cover the Central Belt of Scotland on commercial contracts. The role involves PPM, reactive maintenance, fault finding on VRF/VRF, split units, chillers and heat pumps, plus site surveys and installations.

You will liaise with clients and site teams, maintain safety standards, and keep thorough service reports and paperwork up to date. A company van and on-call rota are provided.

Qualifications

• Proven experience servicing, maintaining and installing air conditioning systems.
• Strong knowledge of VRF systems, chillers and heat pump technology.
• Excellent communication skills to explain technical issues clearly.
• Ability to manage workload across PPM, compliance and reactive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned preventative maintenance on commercial AC systems in line with standards.
• Carry out reactive repairs and fault diagnosis on VRF/VRF, split units, chillers and heat pumps.
• Install new AC units and equipment per project specs and safety regs.
• Complete site surveys and provide upgrade recommendations where needed.
• Ensure works are completed efficiently, on time and with minimal disruption.

Air Conditioning Engineer- Central Belt - Salary up to £48,000

CBW is currently recruiting for an experienced Air Conditioning Engineer to join a leading facilities maintenance company. This is a fantastic opportunity to work across a range of commercial contracts across the Central Belt of Scotland, carrying out small installations and reactive maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on a wide range of commercial air conditioning systems, ensuring compliance with manufacturer and industry standards.
• Carry out reactive repairs and fault diagnosis on systems such as VRV/VRF, split units, chillers, and heat pumps.
• Install new air conditioning units and associated equipment in line with project specifications and health & safety regulations.
• Complete site surveys and provide technical recommendations for upgrades or replacements where necessary.
• Ensure all works are completed efficiently, on time, and to a high standard with minimal disruption to the client.
• Accurately complete service reports, job sheets, and compliance paperwork for all site visits.
• Liaise directly with clients, site managers, and office staff to ensure clear communication and customer satisfaction.
• Adhere to health and safety procedures at all times, including the correct use of PPE and safe working practices.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in good working order.
• Stay up to date with industry standards, product developments, and compliance regulations.

Person Specification:

• City & Guilds or NVQ in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning andF-Gas Certificate (Category 1)
