Job summary

Branta Recruitment Ltd is seeking a skilled Mobile Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Engineer to join our facilities management team in Glasgow, delivering maintenance, servicing and repair of HVAC and refrigeration systems across commercial sites in Glasgow and the Central Belt.

You will hold F-Gas Category 1, have proven mobile HVAC experience and be able to work independently on regional routes. A full UK driving licence is essential; a company van is provided.

Qualifications

• F-Gas Category 1 certification is essential.
• Experience as mobile HVAC/air conditioning engineer.
• Experience servicing commercial/industrial cooling units.
• Strong technical knowledge of HVAC&R systems.
• Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage regional workloads.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned maintenance and reactive repairs on commercial HVAC systems.
• Service split systems, VRV/VRF and chillers.
• Clean coils, replace filters and check system performance.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and resolve them.
• Inspect installations and recommend improvements.
• Support complex installations or upgrades with engineers.
• Ensure compliance with F-Gas regulations and site health & safety.

Branta Recruitment is currently recruiting for a skilled and qualified Mobile Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Engineer to join a leading facilities management team based in Glasgow. This is an exciting opportunity to work across a range of commercial sites throughout Glasgow and the Central Belt, delivering high-quality maintenance, servicing, and repair of air conditioning and refrigeration systems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs across a variety of commercial systems.
• Service and maintain HVAC systems including:
  • Split systems
  • VRV/VRF systems
  • Chillers
• Clean coils, replace filters, and perform system checks to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults efficiently.
• Carry out inspections and make recommendations for system improvements.
• Support complex installations or upgrades in collaboration with engineers and subcontractors.
• Ensure full compliance with F-Gas regulations and site-specific health and safety standards.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience in a mobile HVAC or air conditioning engineer role.
