Job summary

Express Recruitment partners with a well-established specialist engineering business to recruit an experienced Air Conditioning/Refrigeration Service Engineer for field-based work across a wide geographical area. The role covers servicing, maintenance and repairs of air conditioning and refrigeration systems, including fault finding and planned maintenance.

A basic salary up to £35k plus a monthly bonus, company vehicle and fuel card, mobile phone and 23 days holiday (plus bank holidays) are

Qualifications

• Experience servicing and repairing air conditioning systems and refrigeration equipment.
• F-Gas Category 1 certification is required.
• Experience with Mitsubishi, Daikin, or Midea equipment is preferred.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance, servicing and reactive repairs on air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical and refrigerant-related faults using appropriate testing equipment.
• Complete deep cleans and other preventative maintenance to maintain efficiency.
• Identify and rectify issues with compressors, PCBs, fans, pumps, controls and other components.
• Carry out refrigerant recovery and work in compliance with regulations.

Express Recruitment are proud to be working with a well-established specialist engineering business who are looking to recruit an experienced Air Conditioning/Refrigeration Service Engineer to join their growing field-based team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing air conditioning and refrigeration systems for customers across a wide geographical area, with work ranging from planned maintenance through to reactive call-outs and fault finding.

There is a basic salary on offer up to £35k plus a monthly performance bonus, offering the potential to earn an additional c£600 per month, company vehicle and fuel card, mobile phone and 23 days holiday plus bank holidays. There is also overtime on offer.

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience servicing and repairing air conditioning systems
• F-Gas Category 1 certification
• Experience with Splits, Multi-splits, VRF/VRV, and AHUs
• Experience with systems from manufacturers such as Mitsubishi, Daikin or Midea
• Refrigeration experience highly advantageous
• Full UK driving licence

Roles & Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance, servicing and reactive repairs on air conditioning and refrigeration systems
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical and refrigerant-related faults using appropriate testing and diagnostic equipment
• Complete deep cleans and other preventative maintenance activities to maintain system efficiency
• Identify and rectify issues with compressors, PCBs, fans, pumps, controls and other system components
• Work safely with refrigerants and carry out refrigerant recovery and associated works in accordance with relevant regulations
