Job summary

Express Recruitment are looking for an experienced Air Conditioning/Refrigeration Service Engineer to join their field-based team in the East Midlands region. You will service, maintain and repair air conditioning and refrigeration systems for customers across a wide geographical area, covering planned maintenance and reactive call-outs.

The role offers a basic salary up to £35k plus a monthly bonus (up to ~£600), a company vehicle and fuel card, mobile phone and 23 days holiday + bank holidays,

Qualifications

• Experience servicing and repairing air conditioning systems.
• F-Gas Cat 1 certification required or in certification process.
• Ability to diagnose faults and carry out preventative maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned maintenance, servicing and reactive repairs on AC and refrigeration.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical and refrigerant faults with diagnostic tools.
• Complete deep cleans and optimise system efficiency.
• Identify and rectify issues with compressors, PCBs, fans and pumps.
• Work safely with refrigerants and carry out recovery per regulations.

Express Recruitment are proud to be working with a well-established specialist engineering business who are looking to recruit an experienced Air Conditioning/Refrigeration Service Engineer to join their growing field-based team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing air conditioning and refrigeration systems for customers across a wide geographical area, with work ranging from planned maintenance through to reactive call-outs and fault finding.

There is a basic salary on offer up to £35k plus a monthly performance bonus, offering the potential to earn an additional c£600 per month, company vehicle and fuel card, mobile phone and 23 days holiday plus bank holidays. There is also overtime on offer.

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience servicing and repairing air conditioning systems
• F-Gas Category 1 certification
• Experience with Splits, Multi-splits, VRF/VRV, and AHUs
• Experience with systems from manufacturers such as Mitsubishi, Daikin or Midea
• Refrigeration experience highly advantageous
• Full UK driving licence

Roles & Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance, servicing and reactive repairs on air conditioning and refrigeration systems
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical and refrigerant-related faults using appropriate testing and diagnostic equipment
• Complete deep cleans and other preventative maintenance activities to maintain system efficiency
• Identify and rectify issues with compressors, PCBs, fans, pumps, controls and other system components
• Work safely with refrigerants and carry out refrigerant recovery and associated works in accordance with relevant regulations
