Qualifications

• Minimum NVQ Level 2 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, F-Gas/EN 378 compliant.
• Proficient technical knowledge in refrigeration and electrical principles.
• Hands-on experience with VRV systems, cold rooms, and chillers.

Responsibilities

• Mobile engineer servicing on-site and off-site calls.
• Diagnose and resolve faults in equipment and systems.
• Conduct routine planned preventative maintenance.

Skills

Technical knowledge in refrigeration and electrical principles

Job Overview

Airco is seeking an experienced Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Service Engineer to deliver high‑quality service to a prestigious client base across diverse sectors including pharmaceuticals, petrochemical, telecoms, education, IT, retail, healthcare and local authorities. The role focuses on planned and preventive maintenance, service calls and ensuring the highest standards of safety and workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Mobile engineer servicing on‑site and off‑site calls
• Diagnose and resolve faults in equipment and systems, providing effective solutions
• Conduct routine planned preventative maintenance
• Maintain the highest standards of workmanship and safety
• Promote best practice and safety procedures
• Participate in the 24‑hour call‑out rota
• Assist with site surveys, reports and quotes for new and existing customers

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum NVQ Level 2 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, F‑Gas/EN 378 compliant
• Proficient technical knowledge in refrigeration and electrical principles
• Hands‑on experience with VRV systems, cold rooms, close‑control units, chilled water systems and chillers
• Fault‑finding experience on a range of equipment including data centre cooling and water chillers
• Good understanding of industry standards, legislation and compliance requirements
• Positive and proactive approach to service delivery
• Well‑organised and effective communication skills
• High level of professionalism and customer service orientation
• Flexible and adaptable to changing demands
• Valid driving licence
• DBS check
