Job summary

Swissport UK&I is hiring for a multi-functional Cargo role combining warehouse and office duties in Belfast. You will handle air cargo, manage paperwork and customer service tasks, while following safety and SOPs.

Interviews will be held remotely on Teams with a potential in-person meeting at BFS international station. The role requires GCSEs, English fluency, IT literacy and a driving licence, with shifts including days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• At least three GCSEs or equivalent.
• Flexible to work a variety of shifts (days, evenings, nights, weekends, and public holidays).
• Ability to speak and understand the English language.
• Ability to travel to the airport when public transport is not available.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
• IT literate and able to learn airline systems.
• Follow processes and adapt as required.
• Willingness to work in inclement weather.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload air cargo onto vehicles and storage areas.
• Prepare and palletize cargo as needed.
• Ensure cargo paperwork is correct.
• Ensure proper handling and delivery of cargo and operation of equipment.
• Follow Dangerous Goods rules and regulations.
• Deliver air cargo to recipients when required.
• Provide special handling of live animals as needed.
• Operate machinery including vans and forklifts.
• Report equipment issues to supervisor.
• Comply with security and SOPs and safety standards.
