Job summary

ExTrac in London is seeking a Software Engineer to join the AI team, building Co-Analyst and analytical AI features around it. You will own back-end components end to end in Python and Go, shipping production features that scale under load and latency constraints.

You will work with analysts, ML researchers, and data engineers to deploy agentic systems, retrieval, and streaming pipelines, with production-grade APIs and contract-based service design.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional software engineering experience with production-grade services.
• Proficiency in Python, with working knowledge of Go.
• Experience owning features end to end within a larger system.
• Understanding of distributed systems and databases under load.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve components of the agent loop and analytical features.
• Ship production features in Python and Go with measurable improvements.
• Work with ML and data teams to deploy models and pipelines.
• Design APIs and storage considerations across relational, document, and vector stores.
• Maintain and operate services with attention to latency, cost, and reliability.
