Job summary

ExTrac AI in London hybrid is seeking a Senior ML Engineer to join the Machine Learning team, owning model evaluations and production pipelines for scalable, high‑stakes analysis.

You will partner with software engineering and product design to translate requirements into reliable, production‑ready systems, architect agentic workflows, and mentor colleagues as you steer major initiatives from prototype to deployment.

Qualifications

• Production systems at scale with end-to-end ownership.
• Hands-on experience with model serving and LLMs.
• Rigour in evaluation and benchmarking.
• Strong engineering fundamentals: clean, maintainable code.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with clear ownership.
• Experience with modern coding agents and thoughtful workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design systems balancing research velocity with production constraints.
• Decide on model selection, training methods, evaluation and deployment.
• Deliver production-ready systems at scale with pragmatic engineering.
• Lead projects from exploration to reliable deployment.
• Set standards and mentor others across the ML team.
