Job summary

Accenture UK is hiring an AI Engineer (Software) to design, build, and ship production-grade software across the full stack, using AI-assisted tooling as standard practice alongside core engineering skills. You will work on real client programs across industries, integrating LLM APIs into production systems and aligning with agentic AI architectures and enterprise AI pipelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field.
• Commercial software engineering experience in production environments or equivalent through projects.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience using AI tools in day-to-day engineering work with LLM APIs.
• Familiarity with web technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS).
• Cloud fundamentals and containers (Docker) plus CI/CD.
• Understanding of Agile delivery.
• Experience with databases (SQL/NoSQL).
• Ability to validate AI outputs and manage AI limitations.

Responsibilities

• Use AI coding assistants daily to improve productivity and output quality.
• Integrate LLM APIs into production applications, managing token limits and latency.
• Apply AI across the full software delivery lifecycle: tests, debugging, code review, prompt engineering.
• Own the quality and production-readiness of AI-generated outputs.
• Define KPIs to measure AI-driven ROI and communicate results to stakeholders.
• Deliver end-to-end software in Agile sprints with client teams.
• Contribute to reusable components and internal AI tooling standards.
• Connect full-stack code to agent-based backends and AI pipelines.
