Job summary

i2 Group, a Harris Computer company, is seeking a Platform Software Engineer for a full-time, permanent remote role with monthly visits to Cambridge offices. The role centers on building platform capabilities to deploy and operate i2’s products across desktop, cloud, on-prem, and air-gapped environments.

You’ll join an AI-first team that values spec-first thinking, rigorous design, and careful validation of AI output.

Qualifications

• Ability to take vague requirements, interrogate decisions, and define testable specs.
• Experience with deployment and operational concerns across multiple environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain platform software and tooling for deploying i2 products across desktop, on-premise, and cloud targets.
• Own the deployment and upgrade paths for stateful distributed components.
• Develop internal platform capabilities that enable R&D self-service.
• Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines and developer tooling.
• Instrument deployments to drive data-based decision making.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and ensure AI-generated output meets specs.
