Job summary

Zego in London is seeking an Analytics Engineer to translate business needs into clear data models and robust data assets. You will build and maintain data assets in Snowflake, dbt and Looker, using AI-assisted development to focus on intent and clarity.

You will review SQL, extend data contracts and observability, integrate data from Amplitude, Segment and Google Ads, and enable self-service in BI tools for business users.

Qualifications

• Analytics engineering experience requiring translating business needs into data models and robust data assets.
• Solid SQL skills including reading, writing, debugging, and critically reviewing queries (including AI-generated).
• Experience with modern data platforms and cloud environments (Snowflake, dbt, Looker, AWS/GCP).

Responsibilities

• Translate business needs into clear, well-scoped data requirements and models.
• Build and maintain data models and exposures in Snowflake, dbt and Looker with AI-assisted development.
• Review and debug SQL and AI-generated code to ensure trustworthy models and documented decisions.
• Extend testing, data contracts and observability to keep pipelines reliable.
• Integrate data from Amplitude, Segment and Google Ads for secure external data sharing.
• Enable self-service in BI tools for business users.
• Improve data platform and tools with an AI-first approach.
