Fireworks is seeking an AI Field Engineer to embed with enterprise customers, turning complex AI problems into production systems. You will ship POCs, run benchmarks, and architect deployments while engaging with executives on architecture and business outcomes.

This role is hands-on, on-site with customers, and requires strong Python, Kubernetes, and cloud infrastructure skills. You will guide model selection and fine-tuning strategies, design evaluation frameworks, and ensure

Competenze

• 5+ years in a hands-on, customer-facing technical role.
• Shipped production software with customers in production environments.
• Strong Python skills; comfortable with Kubernetes and infra engineering.
• Familiarity with the LLM stack including inference, model serving, and fine-tuning.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) and GPU deployment.
• Excellent communication: discovery calls, executive-level discussions, fast problem solving.

Mansioni

• Build end-to-end POCs and MVPs inside customer codebases and environments.
• Architect inference foundations and scalable deployments for GenAI products.
• Run load tests, establish latency and cost baselines, optimize deployments.
• Deploy and validate model families across inference frameworks (vLLM, SGLang).
• Guide customers on model selection and fine-tuning strategies (SFT, DPO, RFT).
• Lead discovery conversations, manage stakeholder expectations, and sustain executive relationships.
• Spend time on-site with customers to build trust and momentum in person.
