Job summary

Fireworks is seeking a highly capable software engineer to join the EMEA field team as a Member of Technical Staff. You will work on an immense inference platform, spanning the serving stack, fine-tuning tooling, and product features for regional customers.

Qualifications

• Strong coding skills in Python and at least one systems language (e.g., C/C++/Rust).
• Excellent software engineering with backend/infrastructure focus and production systems ownership.
• Ability to reason from first principles and tackle novel problems without reference implementations.
• Experience with AI tooling, agents, and deployment of ML models is a plus.
• Willingness to operate in a cross-functional, regional team across EMEA.

Responsibilities

• Build product capabilities end to end on top of inference and serving platforms.
• Develop tooling for fine-tuning and post-training of LLMs and related data pipelines.
• Work on model routing, observability, and deployment requirements for regional customers.
• Collaborate with core platform teams to translate regional needs into product features.
• Maintain high engineering standards and produce reliable, well-tested code.
• Optionally participate in customer deployments or conversations when useful.
