Job summary

Capgemini Invent in the UK is seeking a Service Designer to join multidisciplinary teams delivering user-centred services across public and private sectors. You will apply established service design tools and drive end-to-end outcomes from ideation to testing.

You will champion inclusive design, work in an agile environment and collaborate with researchers, designers, and product owners to translate user needs into tangible service concepts and artefacts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of experience designing services and products.
• Experience across a service design process and autonomous work.
• Experience with Government Digital Service (GDS) standards or similar.
• Ability to produce service design artefacts like journeys, personas and blueprints.
• Ability to identify accessibility barriers for diverse user groups.
• Experience facilitating workshops and design sprints.
• Ability to present complex services with clear visuals.
• Able to work in an agile cross-functional team.

Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end service design from ideation to testing.
• Create artefacts: journeys, personas, blueprints, mappings.
• Apply GDS standards across public/private sector clients.
• Champion inclusive and accessible design practices.
• Work within agile teams and own design artefacts.
• Communicate insights with strong visuals and storytelling.
• Facilitate workshops and ideation sessions.
• Identify risks and escalate appropriately.
• Advocate for user-centred design with stakeholders.
