Job summary

Janus Henderson Group is seeking a senior engineering leader to define and deliver the AI-enabled engineering guild's roadmap, aligning with enterprise architecture, security, risk and governance. You will drive applied research, prototyping, and evidence-based decision-making while owning platform strategy for Azure API Management and related services.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on software-engineering experience across teams and platforms.
• Deep expertise in API and integration architecture, cloud platforms, quality and delivery automation.
• Experience applying AI-assisted engineering and automation beyond experiments.
• Ability to translate ambiguous problems into validated technical approaches via prototyping.

Responsibilities

• Define and deliver the guild's roadmap for AI-enabled engineering and modern software practices.
• Lead time-boxed proofs of concept and prototypes addressing business opportunities.
• Frame ambiguous problems with sponsors to test assumptions and decide direction.
• Contribute to complex experiments and resolve data, security and performance constraints.
• Develop reusable patterns, components and automated controls for secure development and testing.
