Job summary

Medidata, a Dassault Systèmes brand, is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to join our global team. You will act as the primary contact between support and core engineering, handling work requests, diagnosing issues, and drafting fixes or scripts to resolve customer problems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Life Sciences or equivalent.
• Experience with API/web services.
• SQL experience with MySQL, MS SQL Server, MongoDB, Snowflake.
• Experience with Git, Visual Studio, and API/REST tools.
• Experience with customer-facing support and incident management.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for internal and external customers.
• Manage work requests describing issues, software bugs or customer problems.
• Develop fixes or SQL scripts to resolve customer problems, or identify existing scripts or patches.
• Provide general process analysis and make recommendations for improvements.
• Participate in weekly on-call rotations for urgent off-hours issues.
• Participate in taking calls from VIP customers for urgent issues.
• Distinguish between application database, OS, network, and hardware problems and take ownership through resolution.
• Present complex technical information to non-technical audiences.
• Provide accurate and complete problem resolution documentation for knowledge base.
• Take part in creating and maintaining knowledge base data.
• Increase subject matter knowledge on Medidata products.
• Work with other Medidata teams to ensure efficiency and regulatory compliance.
• Reproduce problems, debug, diagnose causes, and communicate status.
