Sky UK Limited is seeking a Cloud/AI Platform Operations Engineer to join its Group AI Engineering team. You will own the platform, pipelines, monitoring, and incident response for production AI services in a cloud-first environment.

The role focuses on running things properly in the cloud, with a preference for AWS, and openness to Azure or Google Cloud with transferable ops depth. Expect hybrid working and site options in Livingston.

Formación

• Experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, platform engineering, SRE, or production support.
• Experience supporting production systems in a cloud environment (AWS preferred; Azure/Google Cloud also considered).
• Knowledge of CI/CD, source control, deployment automation, and infrastructure as code.
• Experience with Docker and exposure to Kubernetes, Cloud Foundry, or similar platforms.
• Working knowledge of Linux, networking, APIs, identity, secrets, and cloud security.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools.
• Working knowledge of Python, ability to read code, troubleshoot, and write automation scripts.
• Strong communication and incident management skills; calm under pressure in incidents.
• Comfortable in an Agile delivery environment.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain and improve cloud infrastructure for production AI services.
• Build and support CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code.
• Operate containerised applications using Docker, Kubernetes, Cloud Foundry, or similar platforms.
• Monitor system health, investigate incidents, and improve reliability across infra and AI signals.
• Act as frontline contact for AI service issues; inform stakeholders during incidents.
• Support Python services through log analysis, troubleshooting, and basic code changes.
• Manage access, secrets, dependencies, vulnerabilities, and security findings per Sky standards.
• Monitor infrastructure and AI service costs; identify efficiency improvements.
• Collaborate with AI engineers on applications using LLMs, agents, APIs, and external data sources.
• Maintain operational docs, dashboards, alerts, and runbooks.
• On-call coverage may be required in future.
