Job summary

Accenture UK is seeking a Cloud Platform Engineering Specialist to lead enterprise-scale cloud initiatives from Bristol. You will architect AI-ready environments across Azure, AWS and GCP, design CI/CD with AI tooling, and drive intelligent, self-healing platform operations.

You will mentor engineering teams, advance policy-as-code, and contribute to scalable platform assets for future client engagements. The role requires strong leadership and hands-on cloud architecture expertise.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering enterprise-scale cloud platforms across Azure, AWS, GCP, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric or Snowflake.
• Advanced IaC tooling (Terraform, Bicep, CloudFormation) with AI-assisted generation/governance.
• CI/CD design and implementation with AI-assisted deployment and test automation.
• AIOps, observability and self-healing platform capabilities.
• Cloud security, networking, IAM and policy-as-code engineering.
• AI-ready platform architecture for GenAI/ML workloads in production.
• Experience leading and mentoring engineering teams; setting technical direction.
• Familiarity with agentic AI patterns and governance implications.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of enterprise-scale cloud platform programmes across multiple clouds.
• Architect AI-ready platform environments with compute, networking, storage and security requirements.
• Drive AIOps adoption, automated incident detection and self-healing infrastructure.
• Design and deliver CI/CD platforms with AI-assisted deployment and testing.
• Establish and enforce IaC practices at scale with AI-assisted code generation.
• Lead platform security, networking and compliance engineering with policy-as-code.
• Design for resilience, FinOps and cost optimisation using AI-driven telemetry.
• Promote agentic operations patterns and governance of autonomous workflows.
• Mentor and develop platform engineering teams and establish technical standards.
• Contribute to propositions, accelerators and reusable platform assets.
