Job summary

Sainsbury's is seeking an AI Change and Adoption Manager to drive the change approach for the AI Centre of Excellence. You will build awareness, trust and confidence in AI, shape its narrative, and ensure colleagues understand how to use AI safely and effectively in everyday work across data, technology, and transformation teams.

The role demands autonomy in a fast-paced, matrixed environment, influencing senior stakeholders, and delivering practical change activities, with a focus on adoption

Qualifications

• Familiarity with AI tools and maturity models; AI fluency is required.
• Ability to combine strategic and analytical perspectives with pragmatic change delivery.
• Excellent communication, relationship, facilitation and motivational skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strategic thinking.

Responsibilities

• Define, own and deliver Change Management & Adoption methodologies for the AI Centre of Excellence and AI more widely across Sainsbury’s.
• Support the Head of AI CoE in delivering all aspects of the change plan, including stakeholder analysis, change impact assessment, training, business readiness, communications and engagement.
• Lead and implement the vision and narrative on the case for change that resonates with colleagues at all levels for AI.
• Drive the adoption of AI across Sainsbury’s.
• Build the profile and presence of the AI CoE across Sainsbury’s, owning its internal presence from intranet to guidance and FAQs.
• Showcase AI success across the business, running a proactive communications and storytelling plan, events, showcases and success stories.
• Diagnose cultural and behavioural barriers and create change interventions.
• Foster collaboration by building AI communities of practice and networks of AI champions.
• Define and track success measures focused on adoption, cultural outcomes and sentiment with dashboards.
• Ensure plans are value-driven, driving KPIs on outputs and benefits and manage through change process.
• Produce high-quality change materials including presentations and training content.
• Support responsible and safe AI adoption in collaboration with AI Governance and Assurance.
• Provide guidance to senior stakeholders on AI strategy and deliverables.
