The Care Inspectorate in Scotland is seeking an AI Change Lead to shape how the organisation embraces AI. Reporting to the head of IT service delivery, the role provides leadership for people and organisational aspects of AI-enabled transformation.

You will translate ambitions into a practical adoption strategy, collaborate with senior leaders and colleagues across digital, governance, and learning teams, and ensure ethical, secure AI use while delivering real public value.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience of leading organisational change and digital adoption.
• Experience developing change, stakeholder engagement, communication and learning plans.
• Strong understanding of change management principles and adoption factors.
• Ability to engage, influence and challenge senior leaders and frontline colleagues.
• Experience facilitating workshops and translating complex issues into accessible messages.
• Understanding of responsible AI, data protection, ethics and risk.
• Strong planning, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Collaborative, user-centred approach with continuous learning and improvement.

Responsabilités

• Develop and deliver an organisation-wide AI change, engagement and adoption plan.
• Assess impacts of AI initiatives and translate these into clear change interventions.
• Build relationships with leaders, managers and staff networks to drive change.
• Establish an AI champions network to encourage peer learning and best practice.
• Design and coordinate communications, learning and guidance for AI capability.
• Identify AI use cases addressing genuine business needs and measurable public value.
• Ensure change activity aligns with AI governance, information governance, cyber security, equality and ethics.
• Define adoption measures, benefits and feedback mechanisms using evidence to improve delivery.
• Provide updates to programme governance and senior leaders.
• Contribute to procurement and supplier engagement for AI-related change services.
• Balance strategic leadership with hands-on delivery; some travel to Care Inspectorate offices across Scotland.
