Keyman Personnel is seeking a Freelance Senior Engineer in Wales to lead groundworks and RC frame packages on a major project. You will set out works, supervise junior engineers, and manage necessary paperwork.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree and proven senior experience, with strong leadership, budgeting, and scheduling skills. CSCS and a valid UK driving licence are essential; SMSTS/First Aid are advantageous. This freelance position offers a competitive daily rate.

The Role

As a Freelance Senior Engineer, your responsibilities will include setting out the project, overseeing junior engineers, and managing the necessary paperwork. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced individual to bring their engineering expertise to a challenging project.

Key Responsibilities

• Overseeing all engineering aspects of Groundworks and RC Frame construction.
• Setting out detailed works as per the contract drawings, ensuring that checks are made on a regular basis.
• Managing a team of engineers, providing guidance, and ensuring high quality of work.
• Monitoring progress, ensuring that work is on schedule and within budget.
• Completing all necessary paperwork, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with all regulations.
• Liaising with clients, subcontractors, and other professional staff, especially quantity surveyors and project managers.

Skills and Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Significant experience in Groundworks and RC Frame construction.
• Proven experience in a senior engineering role.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Proficiency in using engineering software, such as AutoCAD.
• Exceptional organisational skills, with an ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Excellent understanding of Health and Safety regulations.
• CSCS Card and a valid UK driving license.
• SMSTS and First Aid certificates would be advantageous.
