Keyman Personnel is seeking a Freelance Senior Engineer in Wales to lead groundworks and RC frame packages on a major project. You will set out works, supervise junior engineers, and manage necessary paperwork.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree and proven senior experience, with strong leadership, budgeting, and scheduling skills. CSCS and a valid UK driving licence are essential; SMSTS/First Aid are advantageous. This freelance position offers a competitive daily rate.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Significant Groundworks and RC Frame experience.
• Senior engineering experience.
• Leadership and team management skills.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and engineering software.
• Excellent organisation and deadline management.
• CSCS Card and UK driving licence.
• SMSTS and First Aid certificates advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing all engineering aspects of Groundworks and RC Frame construction.
• Setting out detailed works per drawings and conducting regular checks.
• Managing a team of engineers, providing guidance and quality control.
• Monitoring progress to keep on schedule and within budget.
• Completing paperwork, maintaining records, and regulatory compliance.
• Liaising with clients, subcontractors, and project managers.
