Job summary

Keyman Personnel is seeking a Freelance Senior Engineer to lead groundworks and RC frame projects on a major site in the UK. You will set out works, oversee junior engineers, and manage the required paperwork to ensure smooth delivery on time and to budget.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree, strong leadership, and a proven track record in groundworks. You will coordinate with clients, subcontractors, QS and PMs, ensuring safety and timely progress.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering is required or equivalent.
• Significant Groundworks and RC Frame construction experience.
• Proven experience in a senior engineering role.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and related software.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to multi-task.
• Solid understanding of Health and Safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all engineering aspects of Groundworks and RC Frame construction.
• Set out detailed works as per contract drawings and ensure regular checks.
• Manage a team of engineers, provide guidance and quality control.
• Monitor progress and ensure work stays on schedule and within budget.
• Complete necessary paperwork and maintain records for regulatory compliance.
• Liaise with clients, subcontractors, quantity surveyors, and project managers.
