Job summary

Morgan Jones Ltd is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join our agricultural machinery team, covering a local Cambridgeshire/Essex patch. You will service, diagnose and repair premium agricultural equipment, driving a fully equipped van and delivering first-class customer support.

The role offers a clear development pathway, ongoing manufacturer training, and good benefits including an 8% pension, 24 days leave (rising with service), and standby/call-out payments.

Qualifications

• Level 2 qualification or equivalent in Land-Based, Agricultural or Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong mechanical, hydraulic and diagnostic skills.
• Experience within agricultural, plant, commercial vehicle or related industries.
• Confident customer-facing communication skills.
• Ability to commit to seasonal overtime requirements (harvest period).

Responsibilities

• Service, diagnose and repair a wide range of agricultural machinery and equipment.
• Utilise laptop-based diagnostics alongside practical engineering expertise.
• Travel to customer sites and farms within a local patch (typically within 50 miles of the depot).
• Deliver first-class customer service and technical support.
• Manage your own workload while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
• Participate in ongoing manufacturer and technical training programmes.
