Job summary

Morgan Jones Ltd, a respected agricultural machinery specialist, is seeking a Field Service Engineer to cover Cambridgeshire and the nearby patch. You will service, diagnose and repair premium equipment on customer sites, using laptop diagnostics and hands-on engineering expertise.

Qualifications

• Level 2 qualification or equivalent in land-based/agricultural/mechanical engineering
• Strong mechanical, hydraulic and diagnostic skills
• Experience in agricultural, plant, commercial vehicle, or related industries
• Confident customer-facing communication skills
• Willingness to work seasonal overtime (June–Sept)

Responsibilities

The Role

• Service, diagnose and repair a wide range of agricultural machinery and equipment
• Utilise laptop-based diagnostics alongside practical engineering expertise
• Travel to customer sites and farms within a local patch, typically within 50 miles of the depot
• Deliver first-class customer service and technical support
• Manage your own workload while maintaining high standards of workmanship
• Participate in ongoing manufacturer and technical training programmes

What You'll Need

• Level 2 qualification or equivalent experience in Land-Based, Agricultural or Mechanical Engineering
• Strong mechanical, hydraulic and diagnostic skills
• Experience within agricultural, plant, commercial vehicle or related industries
• Confident customer-facing communication skills
• Ability to commit to seasonal overtime requirements, particularly during the harvest period (typically June to September)
