Job summary

Morgan Jones Recruitment Consultants is seeking a Field Service Engineer - Agricultural for a field-based role in Essex. You will service, diagnose and repair agricultural machinery, travel to farms within a 50-mile patch, and provide top-tier customer support while upholding high workmanship standards.

The position offers a £40,000 basic salary plus overtime, with an OTE of £60,000–£70,000. You will work with a company van, receive training and pursue career progression in a respected industry

Qualifications

• Level 2 qualification or equivalent experience in Land-Based, Agricultural or Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong mechanical, hydraulic and diagnostic skills.
• Confident customer-facing communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Service, diagnose and repair agricultural machinery and equipment.
• Utilise laptop-based diagnostics alongside practical engineering expertise.
• Travel to customer sites and farms within a local patch (typically within 50 miles).

Our client, a respected agricultural machinery specialist representing a leading global brand, is looking for a skilled Field Service Engineer to join their team in Essex. The Role

As a Field Service Engineer, you will:

• Service, diagnose and repair a wide range of agricultural machinery and equipment
• Utilise laptop-based diagnostics alongside practical engineering expertise
• Travel to customer sites and farms within a local patch, typically within 50 miles of the depot
• Deliver first-class customer service and technical support
• Manage your own workload while maintaining high standards of workmanship
• Participate in ongoing manufacturer and technical training programmes

What You'll Need

• Level 2 qualification or equivalent experience in Land-Based, Agricultural or Mechanical Engineering
• Strong mechanical, hydraulic and diagnostic skills
• Experience within agricultural, plant, commercial vehicle or related industries
• Confident customer-facing communication skills
• Ability to commit to seasonal overtime requirements, particularly during the harvest period (typical June to September)
