Job summary

Greene King is seeking an experienced Scrum Master to join our Technology function in Burton-on-Trent, hybrid. You will facilitate Agile processes, coach teams on Scrum principles and enable predictable delivery while driving continuous improvement.

You will partner with Product Owners, Delivery Managers and stakeholders, manage backlog, promote self-organisation and monitor delivery metrics to support value delivery. This fixed-term 18-month role offers a competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Scrum Master in a software development environment.
• Practical experience facilitating Scrum events and supporting backlog management.
• Proven experience working closely with engineering and delivery teams.
• Experience coaching teams in Agile principles and enabling self‑organising behaviours.
• Strong facilitation, communication and conflict‑resolution skills.
• Deep understanding of Agile frameworks, particularly Scrum.
• Experience using delivery metrics to support decision‑making.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate all Scrum events (Daily Scrum, Sprint Planning, Reviews, Retrospectives) and support backlog refinement.
• Partner with Product Owner to maintain a healthy, prioritised backlog.
• Promote sustainable team pace and clear prioritisation aligned with Sprint Goals.
• Ensure alignment between development teams, Product Owners and stakeholders.
• Provide data‑driven insights into progress, risks, team performance and delivery trends.
• Maintain transparency across stakeholders through clear Sprint Reviews.
• Work with external partner teams to ensure delivery alignment.
• Foster collaboration across in‑house and partner teams for end‑to‑end delivery.
