As a Scrum Master, you are accountable for the Squad’s effectiveness, including how it interacts with stakeholders, the portfolio, and other teams. You are responsible for removing impediments to enable the Squad to improve their ways of working and to increase and maintain their ability to deliver quality outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that Agile events are positive, productive, and timeboxed.
- Encourage the Squad's understanding of the Agile framework and enable them to improve their practices.
- Help the team focus on creating high-value increments that meet the Definition of Done.
- Coach the Squad to self-manage and use data to support continuous improvement in delivering change and value safely.
- Liaise with Chapter Leads for individual development where appropriate.
- Manage and track impediments, risks, and dependencies.
- Facilitate stakeholder collaboration as requested or needed.
- Remove barriers between stakeholders and Squads.
- Assist in defining effective Product Goals and managing the Product Backlog.
- Ensure the team understands the importance of clear and concise Product Backlog items.
- Actively participate, share ideas, and drive improvement in the Scrum Master Chapter.
- Lead, train, and coach the organization in Agile adoption.
- Present progress of sprints and quarters in terms of performance and flow metrics.

Qualifications
- Practical experience working with a software engineering team.
Skills
- Highly motivated self-starter, comfortable with mentorship, coaching, and leadership both individually and at squad levels.
- Hands-on experience as a Scrum Master using Agile frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban.
- Experience with PowerBI / Azure DevOps / Jira or similar tools to support Agile practices.
- Experience in collecting and using data to drive team improvement.
- Ability to deliver formal and informal training confidently.
- Resilient facilitator capable of explaining the 'why' behind processes.
- Skilled at facilitating sessions to help teams break down complex solutions into manageable tasks.
- Adept at influencing behavior across teams and disciplines without formal authority.
- Good listener who empowers teams to tackle challenges.
