Job summary

Asda Stores Ltd is seeking a Delivery Manager to oversee delivery of product and project initiatives within Asda Technology's Supply Chain Portfolio. You will own end-to-end delivery, coordinate with Product Managers, remove blockers, manage dependencies, and ensure delivery on time, cost and quality.

Responsibilities

• Managing the delivery of product and project initiatives within portfolios
• End-to-End Delivery: Own the iterative delivery, deployment, and quality performance of multiple projects or products from inception to live operation
• Technical Leadership: Collaborate with Product Managers and project teams to translate priorities into actionable technical delivery plans and manage dependencies across squads
• Deliver facilitation: Remove blockers, and maintain focus on backlog priorities including features, technical debt, vulnerabilities, and bugs
• Dependency Management: Actively identifies and manages cross-team dependencies to enable delivery of outcomes on time
• Risk & Issue Management: Actively identifies and manages risks and issues, ensuring mitigation plans are agreed and executed
• Cross-Team Coordination: Work closely with development squads to ensure stories meet functional and non-functional requirements and align with architecture standards
• Vendor & Governance Management: Monitor vendor performance, ensure compliance with technology governance and quality standards, and manage commercials and cost efficiency for vendor services
• Transition to Live: Oversee smooth handover into production environments, ensuring scalability and serviceability
• Ongoing delivery support to contribute to continuous improvement
• Continuous Improvement: Coach teams on delivery best practices and foster a culture of learning and efficiency
• Reporting & Metrics: Provide clear delivery updates, velocity tracking, and progress reporting to stakeholders and leadership
• Cross-functional working: Contribute towards improving working processes and governance to ensure Asda is a great place to deliver technology
