Job summary

IRIS Software Group is seeking a Principal Engineer to accelerate AI-driven, agentic software development across its engineering organisation. This role blends deep technical expertise with practical enablement, embedding new AI-powered practices within delivery teams.

The successful candidate will partner with senior leaders to shape the agentic programme, diagnose blockers, and drive measurable improvements in engineering productivity while working across product divisions.

Qualifications

Hands-on experience with agentic development tooling in a professional setting.
Breadth in at least one major programming language and stack.
Ability to work across multiple teams and build trust quickly.
Proven track record solving real engineering problems with teams.
Familiarity with modern software delivery practices like CI/CD and automated testing.

Responsibilities

Embed with pod teams to enable adoption of agentic tooling and workflows.
Diagnose blockers in tooling adoption and empower teams to solve them.
Curate and share a living library of best practices and patterns.
Collaborate with Agile and AI transformation leaders to align technical and human change efforts.
Evaluate tooling options with data and embedded assignments to guide decisions.
Develop reusable prompts, skill definitions, and automation patterns for teams.
