Job summary

SCR is seeking experienced Residential Support Workers for flexible agency assignments across a range of residential care settings in the UK. You will support vulnerable children and young people, help them feel safe and valued, and build trusting relationships.

This role offers flexible shifts with potential permanent opportunities, progression into permanent positions, and support from a dedicated recruitment team as you gain diverse experience across homes and complex needs.

Qualifications

• 21 years of age or over
• At least 6 months' experience working with children or young people in a residential setting
• A clean UK driving licence
• The flexibility to work long days, weekends and sleep-in shifts when required
• A genuine commitment to working with vulnerable children and young people

Responsibilities

• Providing day-to-day care and support to vulnerable children and young people
• Building positive and trusting relationships
• Supporting young people with their daily routines and individual needs
• Engaging children in activities, hobbies and interests
• Supporting emotional wellbeing and personal development
• Managing and responding appropriately to challenging behaviours
• Supporting children with autism and other additional needs
• Following individual care plans and risk assessments
