Job summary

Citygate Automotive Ltd. is seeking an Aftersales Manager to lead the Technical Service Department and collaborate with Customer Service to achieve quality and customer care objectives.

You will also oversee the Parts Department, manage staff performance, and drive profitability while maintaining high standards of service across workshop and retail customers. This role is based at our Twickenham location.

Qualifications

• Experience leading an Aftersales department in a main dealer environment.
• Proven ability to drive profitability while delivering high customer service levels.
• Full clean driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Technical Service Department, ensuring efficient operations and compliance with standards.
• Drive departmental performance, KPI achievement, and cost control through budgeting and commercial management.
• Recruit, develop and performance-manage staff with training plans to maintain high technical standards.
• Lead the Parts Department with stock control and strong commercial performance for workshop, bodyshop and retail customers.
• Monitor work in progress, cash flow, trade and warranty debtors; produce regular performance reports.
• Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge and communicate relevant information to the team.
• Continually improve customer care standards and participate in relevant meetings and training.

Role overview

We are looking for an Aftersales manager to manage the Technical Service Department and to work closely with the Customer Service team to achieve quality and customer care objectives.

Key responsibilities

Your key responsibilities as an Aftersales Manager will be to:

• Lead and manage the Technical Service Department, ensuring efficient operations and full compliance with manufacturer and group standards
• Drive departmental performance, profitability, and KPI achievement through effective cost control, budgeting, and commercial management
• Recruit, develop, and performance-manage staff, implementing training and development plans to maintain high technical standards
• Lead and manage the Parts Department, ensuring efficient operations, accurate stock control, and strong commercial performance while delivering exceptional service to workshop, bodyshop, and retail customers
• Monitor work in progress, cash flow, trade and warranty debtors, and produce regular performance reports
• Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge and communicate relevant information to the team
• Continually improve customer care standards and attend relevant meetings and training sessions to support business objectives

About You

As an Aftersales Manager you will ideally have the following skills and attributes:

• Previous experience working as an Aftersales Manager within a main dealer
• You will have the ability to lead, manage and motivate your team to maximise every profit opportunity, whilst delivering exceptional levels of customer service.
• You must have a stable and proven track record in managing an Aftersales department and be able to demonstrate delivering a profitable result
• A full clean driving licence
